Inside out new emotion is very dangerous and become a villain

Yall, I have a question. This may get messy, but respond how you like. I want feedback. What’s the most WORST WAY you could write a villain? Like what would they do. The plot, etc. and also if you want to, would a protagonist turned villain winning be BS or could it be a good plot? This suggestion was inspired by precious1918.

I would like to point out that Envy does not always mean Resentment. Envy is more if a childish emotion, looking up to older people as the goal to strive for. Children often look at others and go “mommy i want that can i have it”. Resentment is more like jealousy.

I think that's its better then the first film. Because for as much as people don't like most the Pixar sequels apparently? This one made sense and although it hits you with alot I can't really say that any of it is bad.

The fact that Disney have the greenlight to the imagination scene that is very good comparison to how Disney treats its animators is incredible! Never expected them let that joke pass. Now if only Warner Bros and HBO could have that humility to them when it came to Coyote vs ACME.

I think this movie was really good.

I really love that in the end, anxiety doesn't really touch the console, but not in the same way sadness was rarely allowed to at the beginning of the first movie. They get her input and then pass it along to Riley FOR her. That's a really neat way to explain that anxiety has a purpose but is more better filtered through an extra layer of rationale

Spider verse is getting overrated

I think I instinctively get defensive of 3 just because that terrible YMS review is burned into my brain and it makes me feel agitated everytime I think of it because I'm just petty in that way. I see 2 and 3 as a direct 2-parter narratively and thematically, and I think both feel just as necessary as the other. Narratively, Toy Story 1 is a little less substantial just because it prioritizes the comedy and world building, while still having some themes and moments that have an emotional resonance. 2 took the world that was already established and really began exploring the core themes of the series, from toys being disposable, to them being metaphors for parenthood, and sets up the inevitable end of it all. 3 then takes those themes and forces the characters to face it head on, and we get to see the toys go through their greatest trials ever. I guess I mainly favor 3 because I grew up watching the first two on VHS (I was born in 99) and even as a kid, I was super curious if 3 would tackle what would happen when Andy grew up. And when 3 came out in theaters I knew I had to see it for myself, and it hit every single beat I hoped it would. Not one moment felt unsatisfying and it was probably the first time I had ever truly appreciated the film I was actively experiencing for the first time, which blossomed into my current love for cinema. It's okay to prefer 2, as I still adore that film to no end, but 3 will always reign king for me personally no matter how many people call it a rip-off of 2, and I will always stand by thay it should've won Best Picture at the Oscars.

After hearing positive reviews and watching some YT clips of the movie, I went to see it today and I was pleasantly surprised at how good Inside Out 2 turned out to be! While this movie is not as good as the first Inside Out, and most sequels aren’t, I argue that this movie is good enough to stand on its own. One of the more subtle things I liked about this movie is how the writers left some things open-ended. For example, while Riley does make up with her two best friends, there’s no telling if they will stay friends while going to different schools or if they’ll drift apart. So I appreciate the writers for showing just how things like relationships change as we grow up. My thoughts on Lin-Manuel being brought in from Moana 2 to Mufasa is that Disney must feel more confident in the Moana sequel than they do on the Lion King prequel. Advertising LMM in the trailer is probably Disney’s way of legitimizing the movie’s existence.

as someone who suffer the latter of anxiety of shutting down when it happens this was a pretty good depiction of this emotion and how it can really mess with you an pop up in the worst possible times

I really liked this movie, maybe it just resonates with me more, but it’s absolutely great. Maybe the last great Pixar film but I’m optimistic

I honestly found the original emotions more likable than in the past movie. With joy snapping, the other emotions comforting her, and joy clearly showing growth with how she treats sadness, it feels like they have a lot more depth.

I feel like having Joy being the leader and the decision maker is so important because it’s symbolic with life. No one wants to be lead in life by their anxiety or sadness or shame. No matter how old you get, you still want to get joy and happiness out of it and lead with whatever makes you happy.
